Judgement
September 18, 2017

In the past week, there has been a flurry of newspaper articles over a squabble between our premier Kathleen Wynne and statements made by the Conservative leader, Patrick Brown.   We are not going to debate the veracity of any statements, nor comment on any legal ramifications.   We are instead going to speak to whether or not our premier is indeed on trial.

The fact of the matter is that both our premier and her government are on trial, and they will be judged in the court of public opinion.   The citizens of Ontario will be passing judgment on the innocence or guilt of their actions affecting the health and welfare of this province and its citizens.   In this article we are not going to talk about the numerous failures and boondoggles this government has created -  there are just too many to dissect here.   The citizens of this province will pass judgment at the polls on June 7th, 2018.   Their decision will be based on this government’s performance.  It stands accused of incompetence, mismanagement, and corruption.  Can there be any doubt that the evidence is overwhelming and must result at the polls in a guilty verdict?   This government has in so many ways harmed the social and economic fabric of this province to the point that it will take many years of hard and dedicated work to repair the damage that has been perpetrated.   The Liberal government is more than deserving of the voters’ verdict of guilt.   Premier Kathleen Wynne’s approval rating was as low as 12%.   That in itself is a damning indictment of this premier and her harmful policies.

The answer, and one punishment that befits this government is for the taxpayers of this province to vote, and vote for someone who will respect them and their tax dollars.   Voting out a corrupt and ineffective government is the best punishment we have.   We must vote for a responsible, transparent and caring government, a government that will respect what this province stands for - economic stability and a government that works with its citizens, not against them.   That government will be led by Patrick Brown and his candidates and MPP’s across this province.   On June the 7th, 2018 you get to be the judge so please get out to the polls; pass judgment, and vote for positive change.
